++++ CUBASS GUEST SPEAKER SERIES ++++
CUBASS will be hosting a talk by:
Dr David Beresford-Jones, Fellow of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research
On
“The Synthesis between Archaeology and Linguistics in the Andes”
At
LCHES Seminar Room, Friday 2nd March, 4-5pm
Dr David Beresford-Jones is an archaeologist based at the McDonald specialising in the development of complex society and human impact on past landscapes. His presentation will provide an introduction to the complementary disciplines of archaeology and linguistics, using the Andes as a case study. This is a rare opportunity to hear a topic of relevance to biological anthropology from a different disciplinary and methodological perspective.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the talk, and we will be heading to the Anchor (Silver St) afterwards for drinks, and would love for all to join us.
